Eye dropper vs Syringe: Your Reptaid bottle may or may not come with an eye dropper attached to the lid. It is totally unnecessary. An eye dropper is NOT used to dose or administer the product. The syringe included in the box is what is used to dose and administer the product. The eye dropper, which may or may not be present, is a standard pharmaceutical device but is not used with Reptaid. Our laboratory here in the United States, Amber Technologies, occasionally uses bottle lids that do not have the eye dropper attached. If you are purchasing Reptaid from one of the reputable retailers listed on our Retailers page then be assured it is the real original Reptaid product produced by Amber Technologies Laboratory.
About ReptaidReptaid was developed to target common reptile health issues. It includes a variety of oils and herbs specifically chosen for their ability to fight against parasites and infection. Reptile keepers, veterinarians, breeders, and importers marvel at its effectiveness in helping to restore reptile health. In early 2010 its use extended to the amphibian world and is now being used successfully on frogs and toads.
Administering Reptaid is easy. The dosage is measured using a syringe, NOT AN EYE DROPPER. Your bottle may or may not come with an eye dropper attached to the lid. Our laboratory here in the U.S. uses lids without eye droppers occasionally. The eye dropper is NOT used to dose or administer the Reptaid. Depending on the reptile species the Reptaid is either added to a food item, to drinking or bath water, or squirted directly into the mouth. Each bottle contains approximately 300 doses and the solution lasts for a year in the fridge. (Shelf life is indefinite if bottle is not opened and seal remains intact.)
